# .macroscope

> Configure how Macroscope behaves on your PRs (in code).

Keep review configuration in `.macroscope/` at your repository root:

## Policy Inheritance

To share configuration across repositories, choose a **Policy Repo** under **Settings → Repos → Policy Inheritance**. Macroscope uses configuration from that repository’s default branch when the reviewed repository does not provide its own. Select **None** to turn inheritance off.

If a given repo sets a **Policy Repo**, *and provides its own config files in .macroscope/* the files within that repo always take priority. This provides an easy override mechanism in case you want a mix of inherited and customized behavior.
