# Linear MCP

> Connect Linear tools through a workspace or personal MCP connection.

Linear's MCP server provides tools beyond the native [Linear integration](https://docs.macroscope.com/integrations.md#linear):

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.linear.app/mcp
```

For a [personal connection](https://docs.macroscope.com/integrations.md#personal-mcp-connections), use [**Settings → Personal → MCP Connections**](https://app.macroscope.com/settings#mcp-connections). OAuth client registration is automatic.

## Workspace connection

Register a client for Macroscope's workspace OAuth callback:

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://mcp.linear.app/register \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "client_name": "Macroscope",
    "redirect_uris": ["https://app.macroscope.com/auth/authorize-mcp"],
    "grant_types": ["authorization_code", "refresh_token"],
    "response_types": ["code"],
    "token_endpoint_auth_method": "client_secret_basic"
  }'
```

Save the returned `client_id` and `client_secret`. Use them with the server URL in [**Settings → Connections → MCP Servers**](https://app.macroscope.com/settings#mcp-servers), authorize in Linear, and select the tools to expose.

See [Linear's MCP documentation](https://linear.app/docs/mcp) for the server's capabilities.
