When you sign up, Macroscope will automatically backfill a subset of historical commits from your GitHub repos. This typically takes ~60 minutes, depending on the size of your repos. We do this so that new customers can get immediate value — instead of starting with a blank slate, you’ll see summaries of your team’s recent activity as soon as the backfill is complete. Once the backfill is complete, you’ll see a confirmation on the Macroscope website, and your Home page will reflect this recent history.
FAQ: Can we backfill additional commits from before we started using Macroscope?→ We are happy to accommodate a more extensive backfill window if this is useful to your team for an added per-commit fee, in order to cover the costs of doing additional inference on historical data. Please contact us and let us know what timeframe you have in mind at support@macroscope.com
